This is for you little guys that want to catch to togs in and around the mouth of the Thames River. Heaven is not going to last forever; you have a couple of weeks to get your licks in. I am talking to those of you who fish out of a 13 foot Whaler, a 12 foot tin boat, a Kayak, and who knows what else. Today, the wind blew hard from the SW at gusts up to 25 MPH. You could have fished the Pequot Lighthouse which is totally protected from this kind of wind. Look up my past posts, and you will find the exact location and the exact rig to use to nail them with. If they are in on the reefs in Stonington, they are in at Pequot. What an evening you little boat people blew away tonight. Flooding tide at dusk, and the winds had dropped to near zero, the togs would have been moving in to forage on green crabs and you were not there. What do you want me to do, catch them for you? |
