Thumbs up Quick Hit Fluke 8-5-07 Jamestown

Not a big report, because we weren't really out fishing LOL....

Wife and I took out Inheritance yesterday afternoon to get away from work and yardwork (and going to the dump )

Nice afternoon, left Allen's Harbor 4 PM. Cruised down by Hawaiian Punch's house, saw him playing Mr. Mom.....blew the horn, waved, kept going Oh well, I invited them to come along.......

Had a quick lunch with 2 rods in the water deadsticking south of Jamestown Bridge where some fluke have been biting decent. Wind/Tide opposite, screwed up drift. Need I say more?

Finished chow, and headed down to Austin Hollow to duck out of the tidal current, and set up a nice drift.

Pulled 2 quick keeper fluke right away, one on pink, one on green.

19.5" and 22.5"

That's tonite's dinner.

Anyway, pulled lines in and continued outr cruise around Beavertail, thru Newport, and back to Allen's.

Washed her down, outta there by 8:20 PM.

Was good to get out for a ride with the wifey (and the 2 nice fluke were a bonus )

Nice trip. I wouldn't mind 2 keeper fluke myself if I could find them.

Yeh, we got spoiled......

Some people have to fish all day to get these 2 keepers LOL......

Worked out perfect, since we were really just out enjoying the afternoon cruising.

Nice trip. Must have been a nice day out on the water, almost felt fallish with the lower dew points and temps. We fished south of the Jamestown Bridge on Friday, a few shorts, a keeper and a rusty cable from the old bridge. Lots of small scup and sea bass around. A slow day on the water but it still beats working!

LOTS of small scup is right! TONS of "shit-hits" where we got these fish.

Typical bait-robbers....hasn't been too bad until recently. This is the time when the "special" baits come in handy
