Quonnie bass

went down to quonnie yesterday in the afternoon in hopes of a keeper striper. we just fished sandworms on the bottom both drifting and anchored. I managed 4 stripers up to 24". no keepers landed but at least there was some schoolie action. we did see a pretty funny sight though. A man and his family thought it would be fun to beach the boat on the sandbar on the outgoing tide. needless to say he didn't keep a close enough eye on the tide and got stuck. this was as the tide was still in the process of going out. that was probably a very long wait for that guy but I bet he learned his lesson. the funniest part was watching him and his whole family trying to push a 20' CC off a sand bar. I think that he now realizes just how heavy his boat really is.
