TOM,

There was a meeting on 3/27/08 at the URI
bay campus opposing the limits & sizes for
recreational fluke, scup and lobster. I was
unable to go. If anybody went, it would be
nice to know what was said and the outcome
if there was one.

allso welcome to NBS

I spoke with my friend today and he said there will be a meeting April 7th to decide the regs, he said it was looking like 7 fish at 20 inches though.

It's official today, Friday, 4/11/08 fluke regs for RI. 7 fish per person, per day. Open year round. 20 inch minimum size. Lots of luck!

08 RI Scup Regs.

I wonder how they came up with these Scup regs for 08

Shore & private boat - 10.5" - 5/24 to 9/25 -10 per day per person

Party & Charter boat - 11" - 6/12 to 8/31 - 10 per day per person

" & " " - 11" - 9/1 to 10/15 - 45 per day per person

OH BY THE WAY - Commercial -1,000lbs per day -9" until 10/31

I believe New york RI and CT all have the same scup regs now.

the commercial quota will change once the scup come in.

rumor has it that june 1st commercial quota will be 25 pounds a day
