took a retired firefighter & his grandson for a day trip of flukin' & bass hunting. started with fluke drifts off the beaches @ big M. a slow pick of keepers put 5 in the box. flatties from 20 to 23" with a bonus fish, a sea bass approx. 5lbs. set anchor for chunking on watch hill reef. marked plenty of bait & some good fish, however nothing was eating! no stripers, not even a rat! watch hill complex seems to be spotty as of late, hard to put stripes onboard wether trolling or baitfishing during daylight hours. i might be pointing the boat west next time i slide out the mystic river. cheers!...............cap'n mick | ||

| Depth info on the fluke? As for the bass, try green on the troll! | ||
