The Race & Latimer Reef

Well,I'm still learning the Eastern LIS and BIS areas. Fished hard this morning and afternoon, with nothing to show. Caught a couple of small Bluefish at The Race, but the Full Moon tide is making the rip line insane. Headed off to Middle Clump and Latimer Reef to 3-Way some chunk Mackeral, to no luck (go figure, mid-day). Saw a few small blitzes of Bluefish, and eventually called it a day around 3:00 PM. Oh well, more learning.

We're heading back out tomorrow afternoon, to fish the later part of the day into the evening, targeting some Fluke off Watch Hill and then the Stripers.

Any help on eastern LIS and BIS Striper targeting areas would be GREATLY appreciated. Reefs, numbers, etc....

I SUCK AT TARGETING STRIPERS

....so much to learn still.

Got in last night around 8:30 PM after some attempts at livelining eels off Sugar Reef. Caught alot of North America and pot lines. GRRRRR.

Anyhow, on the way in, the blitzes were everywhere, so we chased the harbor blues around for a bit, caught a few, the kids loved it, and headed in.

Time will teach me the tricks, but it's irritating in the interim.
