Report for 7/6

Planned on heading out this AM, but was not sure what the wether would hold.

Turned out to be very nice, glad I motivated!

Headed out to get bait at 3:45 AM. Got enough but sadly the #'s are thining quickly.

Picked up 2 buddies at the dock and headed for the reefs.

1st stop I run into Mooner and Stresser, nothing going for them. We tried, nothing for us either. Then the Moon/Stress Crew moved on and quickly called us in on some great fishing....for them!!!I watched them hammer them while our swimmers got nada!!Schooled at this spot by the pros!!

Headed East to my next spot, and also nada!!!

Now I am not feeling it, and getting worried...could this be the day of the skunk!!!

We moved a little to the North to some shallower water and bang....triple header...chaos!!!!!! Ended up after about 10 minutes with 2 monster choppers and a nice bass 43" and 28 lbs.

Re-Drift.....Same again triples, this time it is even more chaotic with lines crossing everywhere. I take my fish to thestern and decide to drop the drag and pop it in the holder as the fish is tearing out. now it rescue by boyz ...The 1st fish to the boat is a good 12-14lb chopper, who comes over the rail some how free of the hook and does the cross deck slide looking for toes. As I am trying to contain him, I look over the rail to my port and my other buddy has a big fish on and it is hooked in the lip..barely. Get the bluefish over the side and get the net..rech out and grab it.. Great fish 31 lbs. and 46", the guys is pumped and then the fish starts rolling around. Now I look back and my rod in the holder is still doubled over!!I grab it and I have some line to recover. I get the fish up to the boat and it is another big bass, this one went 36 lbs. and 49". Got it over the rail..whew!! now i look up and my boys are both standing way up in the bow like "Holy >>> what just happened!!!!

Got re-organized and then it was choppers, although we did miss a few bass after that. As the tide slacked and the sun got up it died off. Great morning with 3 really good fish and a ton of choppers. Ran into Sashimi out there, great to see you Gary..the boat looks great!!

Good luck to you all this weeeknd!!
