Local paper had a column about a large quantity of pogies way up in the Providence River near Slater mill. Low water slow current and warm waters were expected to cause a massive fish kill. The pogies were pushed up there by stripers and bluefish and they thought the possibility of them leaving the area was very low. I have not heard of anything since. Did it happen? Did they vacate the area? Any updates would be appreciated.
