Saturday TOG/Blues

Got out Saturday with the old man. Left from Barn Island launch. Fished breakwater right outside of Sandy Pt., no takers. Then tried Stonington breakwall, no takers. Wind layed down so we made the trip out to Fishers. Glad we did, it was lock and load the entire time until the tide started to go out. Asian crabs worked incredibly well. Not sure if we were on the spot or if it was our bait, but we were outfishing everyone else from what I could see. Took our NY/CT limit and then headed over to Watch Hill reefs for some blues. Trolled up some diesel blues on green umbrella's. These fish were packed full of chow, fattest blues i've ever seen, like footballs. Left em biting...

Smoked up 20 blues yesterday at my pops house, used mesquite chips, came out great. We dried the fish over the woodstove on a fireplace screen for a few hours after brining overnight in soy sauce and salt. Came out AWESOME. One of the best days I've ever had on the water, NOVEMBER 1st!!! Now let's sede if I can find some pics!!!

Not sure on the weight. The biggest tog was 23.25 inches. They were all nice size. We didn't keep anything under 17 except for one little 15 that got tagged by something on the way up, half his dorsal was bitten off...
