Joined today by a colleague/semi-novice. Plan was to tog early (expectations were LOW) and scup later. Had greenies, sandies and squid. Amazingly the toggin was good. 4 nice size keepers, threw back several "barely legals" and several shorts. Worms and greenies both worked. Few scup about! Where are the snapper blues? Had someone tell me today that the river is loaded with short blue crabs---good sign. Many short togs, too---another good sign. Well, off to Colorado Tuesday, so next post will be from the Rockies. | ||
