Summer Bass

Well it has been killing me to not get out on my own boat lately. So I called up good friend Chuck Moon to head out for an early morning bass trip. And as luck would have it when I went into Dee's last night to pick up eels they had 12 fresh bunker waiting there just for me and the Chuckster.

So given the fresh bunker and some great information I picked up at Sashimi's part on Saturday we headed East to the Clinton/Westbrook area. And I am glad we did. Started hitting fish as soon as we got there. Ended up the morning with 4 bass, 3 nice ones ranging from 25lbs to 35lbs and many small bluefish we caught on top water on the way back in.

All in all a good August morning. Beautiful weather. Certainly worth the 25 minute ride out. Will be doing it much more often now until the fishing in the mid-sound area picks up.

Great info, at least they are still out there. Sounds like it was a fun jaunt for you and Chuck.

I checked on that info you emailed me this morning. I guess they moved out or it was a small pod.
We ran thru there this evening on a friends boat and nothing

You got it Chuck, still there.

Too bad Pat, I thought you might have gotten lucky. I hope the bunker come back in the next week or so. If not there will be some small bluefish winning all of the contests in the next month or so.
