BooYah tog trip 8/31.....

well made a call to not run to blocks east side in the stiff northwest wind in search of some last minute fluke. so justin and i loaded up on green crabs and headed to a lil spot i normally tog fish in the fall. and low and behold they were waiting for me. managed approx 60/70 tog with every thing from milkduds to a few hefty 7 lb er's all very health and plump. released all fish. a few pics of justin. and one pissed off gull. no freebies this time

Just curious as to why you did not keep two togs per person as for both Ct and RI (as I understand it) the tog season was open on 8/31? Of course, if you were in NY waters, well that is another story. Very good report as I was starting to get concerned again considering the off and on again tog fishing of last season and since we now have a severely limited open Fall season this year.

weren't we just talking about this the other day Eric? I want a few more Tuna fish first but very soon it will be game on for those white chinned hard pullin I get chills when i think about tog fishing. One of the most addictive challenging fisheries out there.
