Smile Toggin' one more time 11/08

Got out with a friend on the wall, after cleaning off frost, ice off the boat.
Forecast was for a light nw wind but during our stay out there we saw ne, e, se, s seemed every direction but what was supposed to happen. Winds were light though so even setting on the windy side of the wall was no problem.
Got a couple quick fish in the boat then tide went slack and the wait began.
Sometimes it's like a switch is thrown, on/off for the bite. Was pretty slow pick for the next couple hours and then it picked up. Used asians and greens, seemed to be no preference when the fish hit, they hit anything.
I lost 3 in a well that dropped another 6' below the surrounding bottom. One of those you need the reverse combination to get you line out of....now that was out, left, left, in, right, out.......now fish on, so what's the reverse?
We caught about 20 or so fish throwing back 14 and 15" fish. It did pay off as I got a 7 and 6 1/2 lber and my buddy got the last fish in the box a nice 9lber.
Earlier I lost one at the motor cutout in the boat, half in, half out and the hook pulled. Guess which way he fell LOL OUT! Was approx 8+lbs.
We didn't get to many shorts but lots of just keeper size that we tossed.
Was a nice day. Saw a seal just off the wall today. First of the season.
Marina was turning off the water as we approached the docks so I guess it's time to bring in 5 gallon buckets of clean saltwater again.

Good trip Bob.....Inheritance is coming out Sat morning......

Wondering if the water will be off after tomorrow's tog trip LOL. If so, it'll be wash-job with the raw water hose washdown, then rinse the salt with the freshwater washdown LOL.....whatever it takes this time of year right?

I remember last year they shut it off on us while we were out LOL.
