watch hill 8.12.07

had family on board for a liesurely sunday outing. anchored up on a rip to drift some chunks.
bass had august lock-jaw and the blues were in.
tide rippin' & rocking the boat, my wife & daughter want some calmer water for lunch.
head to big M fore some fluke drifts & sandwiches. immediately hook up as soon as i take a bite of my lunch......a fat 24 incher.
next, my daughter is handing off her grinder to pull up a nice 23 incher.
a few more missed hits ended the hour of fluke drifts. ended the afternoon with a little swimming behind ram island before heading back up the mystic river.
seems like they're still in @ misquamicut fwiw
cheers! mk

It was a beautiful day out there for sure. Great job on the fluke always good to spend quality time with the family . I fished Block Island with arc-tek Jim yesterday along with his nephew .we ended up with 5 keepers .

sitting @ watch hill my daughter (adult) who grew up on the block ( life long boaters) said let's blow off fishing & go there, pointing at the block. i knew it would end up with us doing the crawl from mahogany shoals to ballards, to champlains, dicks, kittens, etc., etc,..........
i'm too mature for that shit unless i have a comfy crash place reserved.
good job on the fine fishin' the block..........
cheers!.............mick
