You could always register, hang around for a bit and get banned....
That way you can experience the real thing

They are owned bu August Home Publishing, certainly no small outfit. There is money behind this one so I would suspect they have the resources to do more than the average Joe...

Part of my curiosity is that I like to know what info I a giving out when I visit sites and in this case, they know something about me that I do not... Not cool in my mind...

I would like to have the ability to maintain my right to privacy. There's something kind of sneaky going on there. At least that is my suspicion.

Curiosity killed the cat, so I may have to pretend to be a cat now.

This is what I did several times...
  1. I cleared all cookies.
  2. ipconfig /release
  3. ipconfig /renew
  4. Verified new IP address
  5. Rebooted system
  6. I then logged onto the proxy I was using to maintain my privacy
  7. Here, I could read the forums. So, I created a new identity with a gmail account.
  8. I received the email registration link and copied it to the note pad.
  9. I then used the proxy to go to the final registration link and I completed the registration.
  10. It immediately generated a PM (I assume a welcome message) but when I tried to access it, I got booted from my log in.
  11. Yesterday (before being un-banned) I tried to go directly through the registration process without the use of the proxy and got the same result.
It is possible they have the proxy on their banned list.
I am tempted to log on with one of the previously banned identities now that I have access to see if it now works.
I am also tempted to log on again with the proxy to see how tha now behaves.
However, not knowing how they are doing it makes me reluctant to take a chance now that I have access again. Multiple user accounts will get me banned in a heart beat.

They did me in again....
Not sure of the reason this time.
I posted an article in the Projo today about the guy that was injured at work in Lincoln and complained about illegal immigration.
Last night I posted copies of the "New Books" thread.

I guess either one could have done me in.

In any case, when I go to the log-on page here:
WoodNet Forums: Please login

And I see this....
