Jim and Roy know who I'm talking about....... We have to put him down tomorrow morning.......  F-in SUCKS!!!! His FIV ("Feline AIDS") is starting to take him over after all these years, due to a very bad gum infection (which is the #1 problem in FIV+ cats). He's been great all these years, now I take him to the vet because he hasn't been eating the past 4 or 5 days since giving him an antibiotic for his teeth......the vet says he has 24-36 hours to live. This is the part of pet ownership that I hate........ But we have to do what's right....I couldn't do it this afternoon because my wife wasn't with me and it would have killed her. So the vet gave him some fluids and a couple other shots and some food/vitamins......to hold him over overnight...... Anyway, you ever want to see a grown man ball his eyes out, go to the vets office when they give him the news about his pet.....you pet owners know what I'm talking about! I know Jim does with the recent loss of one of his beagles....and we had to do it last year with one of our Siberian Huskies. Anyway, sorry, had to vent......I was never a cat person honestly until "BIGHEAD". The only cat I've ever met that acts like a dog, will sit next to you or on your lap while watching TV, comes when you call him, eats raw fish and meat.......  He found ME and adopted ME many years ago, as a stray.....the rest has been history....he's had a long and tough life, but not long enough!

| Never easy putting down a pet, be it cat, dog or even a goldfish. Sorry to hear this but you got to do what you feel is right. | ||

| Thanks guys........ When it comes to animals I have a big tattoo on my forehead stamped "SUCKER". Animlas are f-in great....never talk back to you, never screw with you, never hate you, etc........ Always happy to see you unconditionally. Sucks to see them helpless......but it's part of owning them! Just gotta deal and move on.....helps to have others around! Funny thing is the other 2 cats and the 1 dog know something's up......just like last November with our Siberian......a weird sense they have, even tho they can't talk. Animals are cool.

| Eric Sorry to hear about your sad times .Pets are family its not an easy thing to go through .Just knowing they go to a better place instead of suffering makes it the right thing to do .sorry again Chuck | ||

| Hey Eric, My condolenses, They find a way to get into yoru heart and give a lot of love. Sorry man. I've got a cat that does the same thing. Alwayse cuddles up with me especially when I'm trying to sleep :cwm21: . Armand | ||

| Sorry to hear about Bighead Eric. Like Chuck said pets are family to. Its always hard to let go.
