He said he would refund the deposit and Plugmeister will watch for that. But I just thought the guy made no effort at all to try to get us out for the day. I would have thought he may try to call a few other captain friends at the marina to see if perhaps they could take us out. The captain also runs a smaller 24 footer that perhaps we could have gone fluking on, the best he could offer was "Maybe you can get on one of the party boats". That really pissed me off.

I totally understand that boats break down and there is not much any of us can do about that but I thought this captain certainly could have tried to take care of his customers and this guy didn't give two shits about it.

He spent the entire 20 minutes as we were limping back in on the radio with someone talking about how he had to get the baot fixed so he could still make the afternoon charter he had booked. He could of at least called a friend to see if they could have taken us out.

Wouldn't you have done that Pat? Called Chuck, or Sun Bum, or even me to see if soemone could help you out of that jam?

Matt
Last year I ran into a problem like that. I had 3 days of midweek trips. My boat broke the day before the first one. I called everyone I knew to to those people on boats. Chuck took one and sunbum and chuck also offered me there boats for the other 2. when I talk to all the parties the other 2 just said call us when the boat was fixed. the following week I did the trips but those guys were local.
I know what you are saying. with access to another boat and the area he was in the captain should have made an effort to try and put you on a boat.

Pat,

Even if he couldn't I know a little bit of effort would have been appreciated by our group. C-Devil cahrters will not be getting any of my business again
