Does anyone remember Lucky Strike cigerettes had a penny in the bottom of the pack? Only from a machine as they were 24 cents a pack and the machine would only take quarters.

Good stuff,

1957, a very good year.

In June graduated from High School.

Got a job wiring generator power panels for $1.00 per hour. Had to take a bus to work or car pool as I could not afford an old car.

Enlisted in the United States Navy at the end of August. Now I was paid $1.00 per day, 30 bucks a month.

Winter of 57/58 was the coldest winter I ever experienced on the Navy Base at Great Lakes, Ill.

!957 was a very good year!

I asked my brother about it. He told me this.

I remember all cigs from the machines were $.30 and in the cellophane wrapper was two pennies cause Dad always gave them to me.

Way back when??????????????????
