FINALLY Splashed Yesterday

REBOOT is in the water, at last. Dragged her down to Mystic on Saturday, with Jim and friends, to a dead low Shaffer's Marina tide. A couple hours later, splash, started right up, and off to my slip.

Spent today cleaning up the deck and mildew, with a bit more to do. Fishing gear going down next Friday, to hopefully get some fishing done on Saturday.

Damn running lights not working either, so gotta figure that out and the gas gauge too (likely the sending unit). Typical boat.

Mick,

I didn't even ask when I was down at the docks. How much was fuel? Either at the Shell or Nyman's?

i used shell 'cause i have a card. $4.71 as of last sunday morning. next week who knows?
i consider hauling gas in cans but then i have to drive my DIESEL truck 150 miles round trip & spend some valuable time sloshing gas around all to save ten bucks....minus the diesel trip i'd be losing money. looking at the mid-grade on the street it seems they're getting a 40-50 cent premium on the water in mystic....same difference as past seasons.

i'll be chunkin' the reefs thursday A.M.

cheers! mick
