Halloween party to raise funds for pediatric cardiac services at YNHCH
This Friday October 20th at the East Haven Annex Club, 554 Woodward Avenue from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM, looking silly will be for a great cause. A Halloween Costume Dance Party will be held to raise money for the Liam Keating Fund. This fund has been set up by Liam's parents Christina and William Keating in support of pediatric cardiac services at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.
On July 28, 2005 Liam Seamus Keating was born. He was born with a congenital heart defect, weighed only three pounds and arrived early at only 29 weeks. Liam underwent many surgeries performed at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital during his short life and sadly did not survive. His passing on January 7, 2006, as one can imagine, has been very difficult for the Keating family and friends. Mom Chris and Dad Bill along with their four daughters knew they must do something for others that have experienced this type of tragic event.
The Liam Seamus Keating Fund was set up earlier this year to help hospitalized children and their families experiencing cardiac problems at YNHCH. A previous ice skating fund-raiser attended by 400 people has already raised $8000.00 towards Liam?s Fund.
This Friday night the second fund-raiser for this great cause will be held. Please join us by attending the adult Halloween dance party. Hors d'oeuvers, beer and wine are included in the ticket price. A raffle and silent auction will also be held along with a prize for best costume.
