Thumbs down Just a little point here....

I felt the need to voice my opinion, as the little voice in my head is starting to nag at me....

The bring it on section, to me, is starting to go against the NO BS theme of this website, and is also seemingly becoming the most popular forum by post count and views, just like on other sites with their lounges, etc....

My vote would be to kill this forum alltogether, and get rid of all the BS that is sometimes evident here in these types of forums. We could still post the humorous tidbits and general chatter about hunting, women, etc in a more directed, stricter forum that has no religion, politics, or profane/gross/ludicrous issues allowed

My take is that there are plenty of bars and other chat sites to air out alot of these topics...

I enjoy the fact that this site is very fishing oriented, but the amount of posts about needless, non fishing related things is a telltale sign to me we are becoming a bit hypocritical on the founding statement posted on the main page....I like a humorous and thought provoking topic as much as the next guy, but only to some extent here on a fishing site. There are so many fishing topics to discuss, so many googled things to talk about that deal with more outdoors and wildlife type issues rather than the junk prevelant on many other sites.

Maybe its just me, but I felt the need to air the little voice nagging in my head. You can all tell me to go to hell now.....

OK, go to hell. LOL.

Winters are always the time for this stuff to grow, and it is what it is. Personally, as long as this stuff is left in here, I have no issues with it. A place for the non-fishing posts is always needed, as we fisher-folk go crazy during the winter months up here (as you know).

I also disagree with the hypocritical view, but hey, we all have our views, no sweat.

I understand the frustration, but we are nearing the end...

I knew it wouldn't be popular...

Off to hell with me....

I kind of figured it wouldn't be a commonly held idea. I just wish there was alot more fishing stuff being talked about now. The winternet blues have me fiesty, I guess, been venting all day with this crappy rain and my less than graceful performance yesterday on the AC...

I will try and ignore all you bring it on fans till the fishing talk takes over again....it just seemed to me that this winter was much worse for no fishing fix than previous years.....

I HATE WINTER!!!

Its similar to a train wreck, horrible, yet fascinating at the same time. I find myself suckered into reading( it in the winter only, admittedly) despite my feelings towards the topics and such.....

I will go back to talking about the real important things, like :mako :ollo ck::men haden:

Now those are some hot topics

It's just that time of the year...
More going on for most of us with fishing on the back burner.

I'm usually busy in the shop making stuff or working on the boat and motorhome in preparation for the fishing season.

This year I was in a wreck and I'm out of commission. Looks like another disc surgery is on my horizon...

I think an off-topic forum on each board is a necessity. Otherwise the crap tends to clutter the good content and makes it more difficult to find and more often than not, it opens the door to the off-topic mentality and that usually results in lots of thread hijacks

Let's keep the stupid comments and content away from the forums that matter.

Now where are those vicodins
