For those of you with oil filters on your power equipment, here is a pretty handy cross reference I found. It lists some compatible filters. As long as you have room, you can use an automotive style filter. Alway verify the application. I didn't do all of the cross reference but did use a FL400S (replaced FL400A) on my John Deere Lawn Tractor. I saved about $8 on the filter and it is larger. Bought 2 qts of oil and did the whole thing for less than the Deere filter.
