Talking Mother Nature

Towards the end of the golf course, Dave hit his ball into the woods and found it in a patch of pretty yellow buttercups.

Trying to get his ball back in play, he ended up thrashing every buttercup in the patch.

All of a sudden POOF! In a flash and puff of smoke, a little old woman
appeared. She said "I'm Mother Nature! Do you know how long it took me
to grow those buttercups!""For doing what you did, you won't have any
butter for your popcorn for the rest of your life. And, you won't have
any butter for your toast for the rest of your life. In fact, you'll
never have any butter for anything the rest of your life!" Then, POOF!
She was gone!

After Dave recovered from the shock, he yelled for his friend "Fred,
where are you?" Fred yells back, "I'm over here in the pussy willows."
Dave shouts back "DON'T SWING, Fred; for the love of God, DON'T
SWING!"

Two Tall Trees

Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are growing in the woods. A small
tree begins to grow between them, and the beech says to the birch, "Is that
a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"

The birch says he cannot tell. Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling.
The birch says, "Woodpecker, you are a tree expert. Can you tell if that
is a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"

The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree. He replies, "It is
neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch. It is, however, the best
piece of ash I have ever put my pecker in."
