Possum

Brought my son (now 11) to his first concert this past Sunday, Projekt Revolution. Linkin' Park it the headliner and there were about 10 bands in total. We left the house @ around 1:00 PM and didn't leave the venue (The Dodge Center in Hartford, CT) until a little after 11:00 PM that night. The show kicked ass, with a bunch of good bands, as well as a few lamos. My favorites were 10 Years, ATREYU, Street Drum Corps, Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell (of Audioslave/Soundgarden) and of course, Linkin' Park. Damn fine show and the boy loved it. I asked him what he thought when we were walking back to the car (after 10 hours) and he said "I nearly died of awesomeness". Summed it up for me. The extra tidbit here is that he spent Saturday evening (6:15-9:00) in Westerly Hospital getting his hand stitched up (6 of them) from trying to catch a sea snail I tossed to him while we were clamming (nice dad, huh?).
