Being a former football coach I can speak unbiased to a point even though I personally dislike them. I think the Patriots are a great team, I think they have an outstanding leader in Brady who is a top tier quarterback. However I dont think any team is a cake walk and even a 1-10 team can be dangerous. I dislike Bill Belicheck becuase of his arrogant attitude and his pathetic appology for getting caught cheating.

There have been too many upsets to call it a season and annoint them Superbowl winners. They are beatable no doubt about it

**As a matter of fact I distinctly and painfully remeber the season where the Steelers were 15-1, killing everyone by 28 points and being a 10 point favorite in a game against the Pats. The pats took the game easily

In order to beat the pats you need to play turnover free, aggressive football that takes them out of their game plan. Offensively ...You should be able to run on them and take some shots down field off playaction. From a Defensive standpoint you need to force them to run and to eliminate big pass play by playing a cover 2/4 with relentless pressure from the backside

Unfortunately for the Ravens they broke the golden rule in football ...You must put a team away when you have the chance

The ravens can complain about the calls but in the end they can only blame themselves they had the ball 4 times with the lead late. Interceptions and 3 & outs sealed their fate against a great team.

Thats all from coach Glenn tonight LMAO

gman, so true................

I look at QB's like Farve who play the game, or Flutie who got off the ground how many times eating grass in NY........

Funny, the different classes of QB's........

"getting caught" is correct......I think many are guilty of it but they (Patriots) got caught............and you are right on with a poor apology.......

I've never seen so many that want them beat..........I think it's coming

From a fan stand point I hope it's not Miami that beats them.......I'm going to that game

You all make too much of the spygate shit,
Every team cheats. Why do you think they all cover the faces as they talk? Lip reading and play stealing. So friggin what!!!

Ravens should have won....

Bad calls? It goes both ways. The Indy game was the opposite but ten fold worse. Pats took it on the chin and still came through.

Funny how Bill Belichick is found so arrogant when he barely says a word.

Belichick no longer had the underdog crap to rally the troops so he made them the bad guys like the Raiders were at one point. It just provided more fodder for the team bulletin board and the media swallowed it hook line and sinker.

19 and 0 but it won't be a cake walk.

Did you even read my post??? Did I not say Brady is great, that they are a good team. I never made too much of spygate ...What I said was they got "caught" of course they all cheat but he got caught doing it. His arrogence is ...walking past or not shaking hands with opposing coaches, punching the ball in from the 2 with 2 seconds left leading buy 2 touchdowns (zero class) or not taking personal responsability and appologizing for getting caught cheating

I never mentioned bad calls or that the Ravens should have won, what I said was the ravens blew thier chances

I read it.... I was not addressing you and your post, just heading off where I think the thread was headed. I've read too many lately I guess

I honestly don't think he needed to apologize to anyone. EVERY team does what it can to get ahead and it is hypocritical to expect an apology for doing what everybody else is doing. They all need to look in the mirror.

As for the end of the game handshake BS... He doesn't like doing it. So what? He's like that with every meeting of every type he attends. It would be one thing if it was an isolated instance but he does that with everyone and anyone. Guy has social issues no doubt but to call it arrogance is ignorance. He no doubt has social anxiety issues. He's a walking testimonial to it. I am surprised no one has mentioned it previously.

JayR,

I respectfully disagree..........If you are beating the pants off teams in the NFL, then you bring yourself to at least shake hands with the opponent........social issues or not. That is pure respect for your opponent.........something that is missing USA!!! It's to easy to make excuses for respect today..............

That was taught to me in 7th grade football and carried all the way through high school sports...............

I suppose it's one of those "you had to have been there" type things. I suffer from social anxiety (read that as slightly agoraphobic) and he sure behaves a lot like myself. If I absolutely have to be in public, I do it. I was a plant manager for a local manufacturer for several years. I did what I had to do. If I could avoid it, I did. Like company parties (including X-Mas), I did not attend them. It did nothing for my reputation..... Misguided criticisms were the result.

I guarantee, Bill Belichick is a closet OCD and social anxiety persona. It allows him to excel in some areas but detracts in others.

Does anyone remember last year when coach Bill gave Mangini a big hug after the game. Too soon we forget and are over influenced by the media. Remember it is tough to be perfect when your life is thrown out into the public every day. The media wants to make the Pats look like the bad guy. Every sport needs a villain just like the yanks are to baseball. If being the best means you have to be disliked - so be it. No NFL franchise has excelled in the modern salary cap era as the Pats have - that says someting about their work ethic and the franchise as a whole. Just my 2 cents. By the way YANKEES STILL SUCK. lol...

When can I go cod fishing. This winter is already too long.

Well put Hoopa.....The big public misconception here is the fact that Bill B. could give two $hits about what the local and national media think of him. The only thing the man cares about is winning and the respect of his own players and organization!

Judging by the way they rallied around him after the lame spygate incident it is obvious that his players would lay in traffic for him.

All you skeptics can say what you want. What this team has accomplished since 2001 in this day and age is simply amazing.

Alloy, I could be wrong but you sound like the typical RI Patriot/Yankees fan just searcing for a way to jump off the Pats bandwagon. If you dont have faith in this team's future then just stop watching.

Lets not forget...the team is 12-0 and has all but clinched home field throughout the playoffs. Did you forget they beat Indy at Indy, Dallas at Dallas, San Diego, and everyone else on the schedule. Even if they drop one this weekend, they are still two games up on Indy with 3 pathetic opponents remaining. I like their chances against anyone at home, in January in the playoffs!!

One more thing, aside from the running up the score BS, what should he have them do kick a field goal or give the other team an opportunity to play defense and acutally try and stop them. This is not Pop Warner or High School ball people. The other guys get paid too and this is just Bill's philosophy around that situation.

But please answer me this....When has he not shook hands with one of the opposing coaches like you say Alloy? Every week that i can remember he has walked across the field and shook hands with the opposing coach. Are you really just questioning his demeanor during the handshake? Please, you know nothing about the emotions of coaching, or playing at that high of a level. Go PATS!
