Frank, Glad you got that motor fixed. It'll make it really enjoyable going out and not worrying about the motor konking out on you.
Next time you're heading out, give me a yell or post and I'll update you on the progress at the Clinton launch as I'm down there every day.
Currently they are way behind. They really should have starter months earlier, especially with the mild winter we had(no ice in the harbor this year).
There were 3 boats out today and their trucks/trailers pretty much used up all available parking. The docks are all out of position and who knows when they'll be setting them up.
Anyway I'm glad your boat is going good for you again!

For what it is worth, I have been trained to tell customers to be sure and use a fuel filter no greater than 10 microns. These finer filters will clog up faster but they will catch most of the crap before it ever gets to your engine. It would a good idea to keep a spare aboard as this is something that can be changed in the field if needed. Changing filters is a hell of a lot cheaper than $95 per hour. I have to agree with Bryan's advice as these new ethanol mixes have really created havoc throughout the boating industry. What has to really hurt is that they are probably going to be charging $5 per gallon by the time summer rolls around. Not only will these mixes eat up various types of polyester built in fuel tanks and older non-alcohol rated fuel lines, but the fuel is crap to begin with. It is not even stable, as it starts to break down after just a month or so. No problem with cars as you are running them all the time, but with boats this too can become a major headache. Do not be the first boat of the season to top off your tanks at a small marina either.
