Hey, I found out the hard way 2 years ago myself on my Formula 233.....wound up ripping the engine down to the block and having a performance shop completely redo the heads (was a '74 "Leaded" 302 engine) and had all hardened valve seats cut in and installed and stainless valves, and on and on.......all from a leaking riser that corroded a valve badly.......no harm to the lower end in my case, so i was somewhat lucky.....

But we learn the hard way sometimes
