| I store my boat on the trailer after each use and hook up the LARGE SIZE solar charger to my batts. It seems to work well. | ||

| There are several solar powered units on the market that look pretty nice. I was at an RV dealer last fall and they had a nice selection, depending on how big you want to go with the solar panel you can get a lot of power from these units. I installed a solar powered exhaust fan for my cabin and it is the best thing I ever did - now, so long as there is sunlight, I get constant ventilation without worrying about draining a battery

| Even without direct sunlight(cloudy day) you get juice. I checked this myself with a digital meter when i got my unit. I was worried about keeping the batts up during the winter when i dont run as much. I am going to add a t-top to my rig soon and am considering building in the solar panel to the top. I am a little surprised that this has not been offered as an option on new boats with t-tops. | ||
