I store my boat on the trailer after each use and hook up the LARGE SIZE solar charger to my batts. It seems to work well.

There are several solar powered units on the market that look pretty nice. I was at an RV dealer last fall and they had a nice selection, depending on how big you want to go with the solar panel you can get a lot of power from these units.

I installed a solar powered exhaust fan for my cabin and it is the best thing I ever did - now, so long as there is sunlight, I get constant ventilation without worrying about draining a battery

Even without direct sunlight(cloudy day) you get juice. I checked this myself with a digital meter when i got my unit. I was worried about keeping the batts up during the winter when i dont run as much. I am going to add a t-top to my rig soon and am considering building in the solar panel to the top.
I am a little surprised that this has not been offered as an option on new boats with t-tops.
