Cant get the Boat in the Damn Water!!!

I'm sooooooooooooh Frustrated with My Boatheres the Deal i finally could get out again and i get to the Ramp and launch the Boat only to have it NOT start !!!!all the Electronics were working EXCEPT the Trim up/down on the Throttle handle and No clicking when attempting to start it, i check all the wires i could get at and Nothing appeared Loose i get Home and check again and the Damn thing Fires up , so i try again 2 weeks later only to have it start but NOT idle long enough to get it going and it dies again with No clicking again from the Starter and the Throttle trim up/down doesn't work but the Manual one @ the Engine does, it this a Starter issue and how do i change it ?there appears to be six wires coming off the Starter? when i check under the Console, id like to take this assembly off but i fear ill really screw something up How does one tell if it Is the Starter? any Help would Be Great Bill from Bills Boat Repair if you wish to PM Please do and save me some Sanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of engine and year is it first off .I would suggest looking for any green corrosion on any of the connections. In most cases if it works sometime and not others that its a connection issue .I spray my whole engine down with WD- 40 or similar lubricant weekly .Everything I can see I spray.Do you have Bills Phone #?

Check the ground connection to the block, probably loose or coroded. It is usually on the starter or in that vicinity somwhere. Also if the trim works on the engine and not on the throttle it could also be a harness connection somwhere either at the engine or near the keyswitch. Check those plug-ins. Definetly electrical connection somewhere though. Good luck.
