| Here's a couple of threads from here, one very recent: Fishfinder/Sonar Upgrade Humminbird 997c and 797c Side Imaging The overall opinion is excellent, with the 997c being worth every penny of its' larger screen, but the 797c being a hell of unit too. | ||

| Buy the unit!!!! I have had it in my boat since may. No problems and Im out in all kinds of crap. it is worth every penny If you have any questions let me know.

| I had a Garmin 168S ( Ithink) as a back up and liked it alot. I upgraded to a newer Garmin 545 (I think) but am not as happy as I thought. The sea surface temps were really not detailed and I was looking forward to using that feature. KNow I am looking at the 797SI as the wife would only alolow the 997 SI if divorce papers followed! (She was a nice girl!) I hear good things about the Side Imaging but no one real speaks of what model.
