It is on a 1987 18ft proline. Had to replace the fuel
pump 3 times before the dealer discovered the
wiring harness was pinched from the factory. JUST
MY LUCK. The dealer replaced the harness and
I have not had a problem since.

The fuel consumption is great I run about the same as
BOB and I get roughly six full days out of a 25gallon tank.

I read in some reports the spark plugs have looked worned
in the e-tec compared to some four strokes with the same
amount of hours. Remember two strokes fire twice as much as
four strokes. I also think the new e-10 fuel additive has
something to do with that.

All in all, I am very happy with my e-tec and highly recommend
it to anyone looking for a new outboard
HOLY SHEEPSHIT

I've got two seasons and about 100 hours on my 150 EE-TEC and could not be more pleased.

I usually do about 32 miles per trip and use about 6 1/2 to 7 gallons of fuel.

So far it has been everything it was hyped up to be.

Hole shot is so unbelievable that I wish I could knock it down a bit. I have to be very careful with getting up on plane and must forewarn all onboard to hold on. The throttle requires so little movement that I have to slowly put it forward or we are all getting the rug pulled out from under us.

I'm running a 13.8 x 17 aluminum prop and would like suggestions on what I should change to. I would like to sacrifice hole shot for more top end speed. Red line is 5800 RPMs and I am getting 5250 at WOT. 43 to 46 mpg according to my GPS. I would like to get up over 50 MPH.

What do you all think?

Engine is 3 years old,300 HOURS,VERY ECONOMICAL---ISSUES PREMATURE SPARKPLUG WEAR,COLD WEATHER RUNNING CONDITIONS CAUSING NO OIL ALARM SYSTEM TO ACTIVATE----COMPUTOR REMAPPED/NEW OIL TANK AND OIL PUMP REPLACED ALL UNDER WARRANTY,THINK THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE EARLIEST MODELS 2005.

When I read this I was going to mention that there was an emm update to remedy the plugs and false oil alarm on the early models. Do you now have, I believe it's, irridium plugs?
