I just purchased the Lumitech spreader light to replace the 50w halogen that came with the boat. These lights are difficult to find but tracked them down to Rivers Marine Supply out of LI for internet sales. I was looking for a light that used less power than the halogen and still gave enough light to work by. The halogen would draw the battery to 11.9-12.2 from 13.8-13.9 when tuned on. This LED dropped the charge to 13.4. The light emmitted is bright and a whitter clear light and not fuzzy yellowy glow as from the halogen. They are do to be OEM on Boston Whalers and Edgewaters next year or year after. Nice light and they also have a flood light of the same style. Curious to see if anyone has used this product.

| The other company is pyramid tech. Lumitech is out of Fla and are very helpful. Here is the link to Pyramid. The Cockpit flood light and the speader light (both LED) are made by Lumitech. HID/LED lighting systems - Pyramid Tech - Marine Lighting Systems, Aerators and De-icers

Hella has a LED cockpit floodlight called the Mega Beam. A little pricey, but low consumption and marine construction. Defender carries them. http://www.hellamarine.com/default.a...tory&newsID=38 | ||

| The Lumitech light was also pricey but I love it. There is very little voltage use and I can keep it on without worring about the batteries. The Lumitech is rectangular instead of round but also had a few more lumens. I couldn't really get a good feel until I saw it in action and am very happy. Good luck.
