| My Freakin Boat is Driving Fn Crazy!!!!!! ok so i tried to go out today out of Clinton, some Blackfishin is the Goal, i get to Hamm Bait and Tackle ( No Green Crabs), Jans next to Hamm Bait and Tackle (sign saying Gone Fishing be back @ 5pm  , so i did find a place to buy some Green Crabs get out into the Cahnnel and the Damn thing stalls i atke the water seperator apart and pump the Fuel bulb, runs then stall again meanwhile i keep checking the Fuel separator and that appear ok, then i take the Fuel Bulb apart and try pumping the Bulb to SEE whats coming out and after sticking a screwdriver in the end to open valve it shot gas out a couple of times then AIR and AIR only AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHi  im going fn Bonkers over this after 30min no luck, thenthe Fuse to my Radio dies and i cant call Seatow and wave someone done to call for me (thats was Very nice of them) 30min Seatow shows up and the Guys says i remeber you i towed you earlier this year AHHHHHHHHHHim at my wits end is there a way to check to make sure my Fuel lines arent clogged like an Artery and is thier a Fuel pump that could be shot i have a 115HP Mercury Outboard, and Yes i did have Gas in the Tank as i put 15gallons in just to be sure before i left the dock!!!! Anyhelp would be Great!!!!!!!!!! |

| Well, there's definitely a fuel pump in there, right where the gas line connects under the cowling. It could be shot, or be loose and sucking air. Have you tried simply replacing the priming bulb, as that can very often be a problem with a fouled/cracked internal valve or even a pinhole. |

| Frank Try changing the ball first.Go buy one at a boat dealer and not walmart.I found the walmart ones fail there made very cheap. |

| grab a portable tank and fuel line and hook it up to see for sure if it's the fuel line and if the problem persists.......check the arrow on the bulb which indicates flow direction

| Did you drain and clean the carbs? or is it injected? There is also a filter in the motor that needs to be cleaned or changed.

| Sorry i havent Posted any replies my News got worse my Mom whom lived with me the past 12yrs had a Heart attack @ Midstate Medical Center Tues Morning and Died , once i straighten her affairs out ill try and repost any things i have tried, How to i get the Bulb off ?it looks as if the the fasteners to hold it in place are crimped on |

| WOW!!! Sorry to hear that.............. Just carefully spread them with a small set of needle nose or a small flat screw driver. When installing the new bulb get your self a couple hose clamps.

| OK im back i changed the Primer bulb and fuel Hose from the the Bulb to the Fuel/Water separator and the piece that fits into the Motor and it starts runs for 30 seconds then stalls, im able only briefly during one of the starts to get the RPM's up but then it dies when i throttle way up!!!, im going to put some more Startron in but this is Freakin Nuts, whats the Best way to clean the Carburator? and is thier a Pic so i can be sure this is it ,its a 1998 Mercury 115HP and also where is the Fuel pump as this i quess is my Last shot to get this thing Running again , next day off ill take Pics of what i thing is the Carbs and Post the pics,this is sooooooooh frustrating im at the Point of bringing it to a Boat place fixing it and selling the FN thing as i have had NO enjoyment this Year!!! |
