Opinions on Parker Boats.

Tommorrow I am going to look at a 25 Parker. Thinking about re-thinking my present boat situation. The Parker offers alot in a small package. What do you guys think of the Parker's. The boat is a 2530 EC model.

its not the extended but he does have the second station.

one more thing. the boat is very hard to back into the slip. you really have to lean on the gas to get the bow to come around.

The photograph you posted is the extended version. I believe it's the 2550. Last year I shopped many boats in the 26-29 ft range. My opinion of the parker is...... Nice boat, stable boat, rides well. Utilitarian, comes stripped, you pay for every option. You want a live well, you pay. You want a washdown, you pay. You want a different power package, you go elseware. I also think for what they offer, they're over priced. I feel there are better manufactures offering more for your money. Decide how your going to use the boat, if your looking to beat it up in rough water every trip, then buy it. If your a pick your day kind of guy, then spend your money elseware. JMO

John from Madison has a 25' parker. It's not an extended cabin. Lots of fishng room in it. 4 comfortably plus dog LOL.
One thing I really like on his is the back of the pilot house is open. Can be closed with canvas and windows but normally it's wide open and makes getting to the helm much easier. he has no second station.
pm him and I'm sure he'll give you some tips.

Nice choice Bryan ,I'm in the looking stages for next year,Here's another style like Parker http://www.privateerboats.com/2400.htm and anotherhttp://www.steigercraft.com/main/doc....cfm?boatid=12 I've found that Parker is like the Cadilac and Steiger and Privateer is like the chevy .All the little stuff in Parker built better .

My neighbor bought a new 23' last year. He's sorry too... He says the ride is awful in any kind of sea. Unless it is flat calm, he has to crawl in from offshore.

Frankly, I love the look of the boat and had always wanted one until he toild me that.

Definitely sea trial it in some snotty stuff before purchase.
