I have observed many of the Parker Boats and almost bought one...If you are going to install twin engines, seperate them as far apart as possible. You will have a much easier to control boat with wide seperation on the engines. Backing is a breeze with twins.
Last boat we had was a 29'Crosby Hawk with twin 250's. 44 knots wot and she could be tuned down to back float in the current in a tide rip.

Good luck with your 'new' boat.

What are the options, motor(s), and price on it? Like I said before, I looked at them very closley, but new not preowned. Preowned might be a better deal.

The 2530 is a dv? I believe it's 21 degree deadrise. If it's an mv it is much flatter and ride not as good.

B2 Tackle - Do you know if you neighbors is a MV or DV hull? If MV that may be the reason for the bad ride. I guess the two are very different. From my research. Still need to seatrial one. Thanks again guys.

Just stopped by and spoke with my neighbor. It's a deep V and the problem is gone... His motor bracket was leaking and full of water. He emptied it, sealed it up and it's now balls to the walls with no problems.
