o.k. after spending several days to finish off the boat to get it in for yesterday, I did a final inspection. Everything was looking good until I went to check all the lines and the hoses on the outdrive. When I lifted the outdirve in full tilt, I saw that the exhaust hose was ripped in half. I didnt see this when I was sanding and painting the outdrive. Well the question is..........Do I have to remove the outdrive to change the hose? If not, can I also replace the other Hoses also without removing the outdrive? Here is the other thing. I put a new outdrive on last year and told the mechanic to replace anything that needs to be done, just to be safe, while the outdrive is off. But I guess he didnt do it!!!!

The exhaust boot will not do any harm if ripped it may give you a little mor horsepower and a little more noise. The drive boot will give you the big problems check that one carefully. If you change the boots do all at once.
