raw water washdown

i intend to add a washdown to my boat for next season. my question is can i share the existing thru-hull that currently supplys my live well? maybe a t-wye connection or similar configuration? my current pump for the live well $hit the bed end of last season so i'll be in there anyway. can one pump serve both purposes?
suggestions appreciated......mk

You should be able to use one pump with a valve to switch , i has this set up on my grady and never had a problem i think it was a sureflo pump if i remember right.

Yes. Our old boat shared with a lever/valve to direct the water to either the wash-down or live well.

On my BW Outrage the live well and the raw water wash down utilize the same pump.........I twist a valve and good to go.

As said before you sure can and that is how my boat is currently set up. One thing I have found is the wasdown pumps don't flow as much as a dedicated livewell pumps, I guess it depends on how often you intend to use it. The pump also has to pull double duty so it may wear out faster and some are not designed to run continously. I would like to change it eventually but I have many other projects that need to be done first.
