Well, I spent the day down working on the boat today, at ARC-TEK's shop. I had to replace the stern panel, as it was majorly rotted and falling apart on the port side. In doing this, I also had to rip out the port and starboard panels to get to the stern one. They had seen their better days too, and were in poor condition, so at Jim's suggestion, I just tossed them and replaced them with only a 4.5" lip edge at the bottom, made from the same 0.5" material I used for the stern panel. I wish I had pictures of the before, but suffice it to say, this looks much better, and will never rot. It also makes the interior of the boat appear even bigger. I've still got to clean up the wiring, which I will do either next week or when she hits the water in the slip, as I still have alot of work to do before splash down (install jack plate for motor, sand down bracket to prime and paint) | ||

| No pictures yet, but spent the day yesterday double coat priming and then double coat painting the bracket on my boat, down at ARC-TEK's shop. Jim and I also mounted the new jack plate for the motor, which gives me 6" more setback (I can finally tilt the motor out of the water completely when slipped) and allowed me to bring it up a few inches so I can avoid "submarining" my motor (being that these Formula's are arse heavy). Hopefully pix to come, but the boat should see splash down by next weekend. Once she's in Andy, you're welcome anytime. We'll have to make a plan to get out there and try to hit some Fluke and Stripers. | ||

| Brad you should be done just when the fluke bite really gets going ,getting the motor out of the water when slipped is a good thing
