I hope it comes with it's own extra floatation bouy around it to help keep the boat up at 850 pounds . I'd love to have that power though compared to my 225.

I had the privelege of fishing on the Bass Pro Shop sponsored 41 Sea Hunter with QUAD VERADO 300s for a late season canyon trip. Capt. Rob Delph, from the Delph fishing team, myself, and Capt. Al Reeves of Python Sportfishing made the run from Newport to the Dip in just shy of 1 hour and 36 minutes, on a glassy day. We went 16 for 20 on YFT to 90 pounds, then ran back in in 3-5 foot w NE wind at 47 knots, getting in at just under 2 hours 9 minutes from south of the Dip. I sat on a bean bag chair directly behind the rocket launcher, facing the engines. The rooster tail the inside 2 engines put up every time we launched was insane!!! The time factor was huge for me, as was the ability to fish 5 rods on the same side of the vessel, all at the magic depth during our 1 hour blitz. I know we would have half that total or less on my boat, because we were only getting hits at 30 feet.

The fuel bill was 804 dollars roundtrip, at 2.63 cents a gallon on land. THis boat was impressive, and if I had the money would get one in a heartbeat. The only thing I worried about was the 2500 pounds strapped to the transom. They say they have them set up to absorb the pounding, but I want to see what these boats look like after 5-10 years of running as hard as we did that day.

You tell me how many guys will baby a throttle like that that has the balls to get you up and going? You just can't help but push it......

Notice many of the sponsored boats get used one season and then it's a new one? Hey, what was that loud crack on that last wave??????

LOL yeh I hear ya!

To mount these things tho, can you imagine how beefed up the transom is going to have to be? Especially in the case of double/triple/quad setups!

Not really the horsepower, it's really the extra beaucoup thrust (torque), combined with the weight........that's some serious stress.......
