FURUNO FCV585 COLOR FISHFINDER 8.4"LCD DISPLAY

Details The New Furuno FCV585 is a high performance, dual-frequency digital fish finder with a high transmission output power of 600 Watts or 1 kW. Employing a sunlight viewable, high-resolution VGA 8.4" color LCD (TFT) display this compact, waterproof 50/200 kHz sounder accurately detects fish and delivers detailed bottom readings in 8, 16 or 64 levels of color gradations. The FCV585 incorporates Furuno's digital signal processing technology. This digital filter helps adjust gain, STC and output power, and also suppresses noise that occurs just below the transducer. The incorporation of this new digital technology facilitates outstanding detection in both shallow and deep water. Rotary knob technology allows for easy operation of the four basic operational modes:
  • Single-Frequency (50 or 200 kHz)
  • Dual-Frequency
  • Zoom (Marker Zoom, Bottom Zoom, Bottom-Lock) and Nav Data
You can operate the unit in one of its two Auto modes ? cruising or fishing. For the experienced angler, operate it in manual mode to further enhance the unit. The FCV-585 unit design concept allows the unit to swivel around when desktop mounted and the quick release bracket makes flush mounting quick and simple.

This is the one we used with our FCV600L on the last boat.

Was very pleased with it's performance. Not familiar with others except the 525 transom mount, which we have now. It's okay but not as good as the 525st msd.

Formie-

What's up?......

I installed the 585 last year in the Maggie B and I went with the following Xducer...

Bronze Broadband Thru-Hull Transducer with Temp, Built-in Diplexer and Hi-Speed Fairing Block, 1kW (10-Pin), P/N 526-HDD.

As indicated in the description, it's a 1kW ducer and I'm VERY happy with it.

Good luck!

That's exactly the ducer that's going in the hull in March

F-in thing is ENORMOUS lolol.....but 1KW is the way to go if the machine is capable (even tho the 585 can be run in 600W mode also).

Having a custom teak box made for the unit for on the dash, to match the ACR spotlight control box (console is FULL already LOL).
