I have one, I've failed to even try it. I suppose it has something to do with the fact I haven't an artistic bone in my body. Trying and failing will just solidify my self doubts. To further that resistance, I also fear finding myself trying to paint the perfect plug and spending way too much time in that effort. Do the scales, glitter, attention to great detail and perfect glossy epoxy coat really make a difference to the fish? It no doubt hooks the angler  but what about the fish? Aren't they attracted to size, shape, color and movement?I have thick skin, let me have it

| Im with you. I have cought fish on lure without paint. All the paint is gone off of some of my most productive lures

| i think the epoxy and glitter are relevant but scales just look soooooo damn good. i also think that rattle can paint jobs do the job fine enough. you're right though, with all the settings to dial in and dots to add, maybe that's why i also don't use one. doh!

| I really like the airbrush for the type of effect it can have on how the paint lays down. It's great! The little dots, the fogging around eyes, etc. Now, do I use one?...RARELY...they are a pain in the ass! Flushing between each color, a paint that's too thick plugging up the needle...take it apart and clean it...not enough paint bottles to just switch colors quickly...don't forget to cover the air hole in the bottle when done or the friggin' paint dries out or at least thickens so you're back to taking the brush apart and cleaning it again. However, not to much worry about brain damage...oh crap...too late for that  ...Not much paint stink at all and easy clean-up (except the brush)All-in-all I think its a great tool and I suppose that I just have a crap load to learn about its use...BUT I LOVE MY RATTLE CANS...LMAO! | ||

| Remember B2Tackle, it's just paint. Worse thing that could possibly happen is you don't like the result and repaint it. Practice on you shop walls or scraps especially when trying out a new technique. Anything done can be undone or redone.

| My shop walls!!!!???!!!! Bite your tongue!  Next you'll be telling me saw dust on the floor is OK.  I'll likely try it at some point. Just don't feel up to it now. I was just using my chop saw and I had to stop. Pain was radiating into my arms and my hands were getting all pins and needles. The thought of hold up my hand to paint is out of the question. I'm going for a nap....

| LMAO!!!! I let the saw dusk build up until my wife goes and cleans it up. :embarassed: Now with all the new tools I have she has been pretty busy

| Doc LOL I never suggest it. I just track the saw dust and wood chips through the house. You know its bad when the wood chips are stuck to your socks and end up in the washing machine then on her clothes. Yesterday I had 20 or so plugs hanging in the kitchen on the curtain rod when she woke up.I did take the curtain down. I hope she dont come on here and read this because Im not supposed to think its funny.
