First off, where are you doing it? As an attachment or in the Photo Gallery?

What message is it actually giving you?

I'll get it corrected, but I need to know some details to help you out.

Well, I have to say I am confused. I logged in as you and was able to upload an attachment that was 1.35 MB and was 2048x1536 in size. Worked normally, as there are currently no other limits that the sizing below for attachments.

Filetype Max Filesize Max Width Max Height
bmp 1,000.0 KB 1024 768
gif 1,000.0 KB 1024 768
jpg 1.95 MB 2048 1536
png 1,000.0 KB 1024 768

Have you tried to use the Photo Gallery and upload there for a link back to a post? I am curious to see if you are having trouble there too, as I can't find any problems yet, albeit, I'll keep looking until we resolve it.
