I read up some on Basswood (Linden) here: http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/sto...ml&catref=wd12 What do you plug gurus think? Is it good for plugs? Seems it would be, says it doesn't split, is good turning, etc etc.... Here's a FREE tree for the taking once the gent cuts it down! | Basswood (American Linden) is a great wood to work with. It's used in many carvings. Finishes nicely, hard etc etc.

| Some of the basswood I've carved, I've kept on hand stacked/drying for up to twenty years....All good things come to he who waits. ;)
