Jay,
I tried to reply to your PM, but I couldn't for some reason, like not enough posts to use PM, or something.
Short Answer, No, I doubt we met on the beach.
Now for the Long Answer.
I am a typical native, avoid people out there at all costs, even the ones I know, and stay far away from the self contained, and boat people. Also do not go near the place on weekends. When I fish, I am horribly anti-social, well, more so than when I don't. Proabaly a leftover trait from the commercial days, 70's & 80's can't get past it.
Weeknights well after work, when most of the locals go. Alone, and silent.
I fish RP spring, and fall only. Too crowded come July & August. The lesser known places, peak tourist season.
Seals are a pain, yes. Plover closings don't bother me. Thankfully at my age, I can still cover a lot of sand on foot.
Sorry if I sound like an a-hole, but, have been called that, and don't care. Just the way I am.

I wouldn't want to have to do it again, at least for a while.....
It's all in the shop and getting acclimated to the temp and humidity.

I had no way of getting the whole pallets into the shop so I had the break them down and bring them in an arm load ata time. Kids and wife helped out a great deal.
