Hooked Kinda funny that my flies look just like my plugs do.

Nice fly TackleJunkie. Try tying that pattern with lead wire wrapped on the hook shank. It will bring you deeper in the water colum. You could tie a couple of different weights deepending where your going to fish it.

I did a couple like that but since I was planning on using these on the Delaware River, shallow and very rocky, for Smallmouth I thought floating would keep me from losing too many.
