Here is a lure I just finished I'm calling it Mac-Danny. It's pretreated for water absorption, Primed Painted, 3 coats of 2 part Clear and Through Wired with .064 stainless, Krock SS Swivels, Wolverine 3X split-rings, VMC 4X hooks.    So you think that will catch some FISH   Armand | ||

| Armand, your lures make me almost wish I was an inshore guy again. Great product, obvious care taken with everything you do, down to the hooks and terminal gear. What do you have in terms of offshore surface plugs? I did an awful lot of experimenting with great success casting to YellowFin Tuna on the top in 2006, and am looking to expand my plug arsenal.(lost quite a few to some big fish). Best, Dom

| Hi Dom. Thanks very much for those kind words. My family tries very hard to make each lure the best quality. Just name what you want and I'll build it for you. If you want a surface popper in Mackrel with one Large Stainless Steel rear hook for Tuna = I'll build it for you. All my acrylic lures are very durable and infact I've played around with this one for tuna, it can either be cast or trolled:    They are through wired with very heave rod directly to a 350 pound swivel to a 5/0 Stainless Siwash hook. I know they would hold up to any tuna. Armand | ||

| Armand, Thanks for the reply. That lure looks dynamite. This year I actually was using a 4 ounce diamond jig, with a new SS siwash and heavier ring, stuffed into the drilled out cavity of a holographic squid body in 6". I also experimented with a few large poppers on the market, and had some successes as well. I had it to where I could leave the hook just below the end of the skirt on the diamond. It was effective, but was only good for either 1 fish, or maybe 10 casts and retrieves before it would split open, and I had to crank like hell to keep it up top. Lot of work too. I will definitely catch up to you at the Providence show. I have a few different style/design ideas I would like to discuss with you. I am an offshore nut, and will tell you that the market for topwater plugs for pelagic big fish is exploding right now with all the guys experimenting with spinning gear or smaller casting conventionals. Its great to see a lure guy willing to custom build a lure for someone. We'll talk in person at the show, looking forward to meeting you. Best, Dom

| Thanks Armand. I love you tube. That video is of Capt. Josh Temple out of PV Mexico, fishing Corbetania Rock and El Banco, where the BIG yellows swim. He's been featured a couple different times by various magazines. The fishing down there is insane. I was there in Dec., and am going back again 2007 first week of Dec. again. Had a shot at a cow but broke her off near the boat after a long fight, but also caught a few in the 100 pound class and released a 300 plus black marlin. Gman and his son were there a few weeks before me, and they had a big sail and a 180 pound class YellowFin Tuna. I am making it a point to do more video tapes this year, hopefully I can get some shots of your new poppers getting destroyed by some hardtails!!
