The Philly Doug Special

Sunday Morning I went blackfishing with Doug. We got to the reef very early. it still was dark. As the sun rose, right next to the boat. A Bass came up to the top and sprinted for some bait. This was a Huge fish. In the 35- 40 pound class judging by its tail. we saw a few more signs of life. enough to get me interested to scout that location more.

Doug actually started to drool. I knew he wanted that fish and wanted it bad. Seeing we went out for blacks, we didnt have any tackle or bait for bass onboard.

This week i have some time due to the weather is going to be crappy all week. I decided to make Doug a lure so he can get that Bass. I will post pictures of its progress because Doug is going to be away from the saly for a couple of weeks. I will have this done for him on his next visit to connecticut.

Brother that is one big plug. Would have been perfect to feed that bass...perhaps we can three-way that plug down the deep side of that reef on the right tide.
