I had the same problem when drilling my acrylic heads. I found a slower speed worked better for me. I used an 8?, 1/8? bit in a lathe and cleared the full bore every 3/4? or so. One problem I originally had, that you will not is the melting of the acrylic. But I solved that with lubrication. I now cast my head blanks with a full trough, brass ferrules and do not have to drill, but I think if you slow down, clear often and have good alignment it will work for you.

H'Islander... that wasn't directed towards you... I am sorry.. I meant it towards Pat....
you wrote "OK - I'm assuming that because you're able to run a relatively successful charter biz that you have the same, or most likely more, mechanical sense than I possess...."

there are so many different ways that I can get him that I just didn't know if I should or not.

I am sorry again.

ya and you think that you are funny...
Pat can put a DZ302 together in his sleep, but don't ask him to do anything around the house because it won't happen... or on a newer car. He went to do something on my car and it took him 2 days to do it (no it wasn't the 96 either.. it was on the truck)

At "your spots" ok...

No-no-no -
Don't be sorry - I'm taking it all as a joke!! I re-read my post and it looks more like a challenge - sorry 'bout that.

Funny how when you write the way that you speak, it re-reads so totally different from the intent -

Nah - I'm a class clown - And definately lousy a fisherman who is was the inspiration for the old saying, "even a blind squirrel finds the occassional nut"

This is ALL in fun - if it ever got to be a bother, I'd just go fishin'

Look forward to meeting you and Pat soon, we def have plans to do some fishin!!!
