Wow you got that for free? Looks like a beauty. I hope the work is minimal and you have many great days on her.

Hey Gilligan - You're welcome on board everytime she motors out - If I can get her to Montauk in a relatively effecient time frame I'll be there quite often during the fluke season. I can always motor over to the lake and grab you off the docks!

As far as the draft goes, I estimated that she's drafting about 36", but it'll measure that more accurately when I get her safe and sound here. There was a bowrail at ne poiint, the previous owner has some paperwork and some hardware to pass along, I'm hoping that the rails are part of that lot.

The name? Hmmmm....
I'd like to do some more research to find her original name if possible. I know that the Rose Island Lighthouse foundation had her from 1992 thru 2003. They had first named her "Sonny Days" after their keeper, but he left shortly after and the following year they changed it to "Light-A-Rose".
They got the vessel from the Breen Brothers Richard and Michael. They operate a lobster fishing business with boats named "Rocklobster I, II, etc..." They had named her "Rita Anne" after their mom.

In the absence of more information I may just name her after my step daughter and it would read "Stephanie E" or "Stephanie Elizabeth" - but that's a lot of syllables to blurt out in the event of an emergency! (LOL)

Stephanie Elizabeth may be long but it won't get confused with another...
I heard you are taking names for a fishing trip.
