Some for the spring...

Been poking at a few old ideas....and a few new ones....
AC Moore has the Iwata Eclipse airbrush and I had a coupon so I decided to replace my old Paashe VL - The eclipse has better control I think.

What kind of paint is most commonly used, water based or oil? Got the Iwata Eclipse a little bit back. Played with it a couple of times, need lots more time I admit. But I've tried a bunch of different surfaces and the water colors seem dull. Or is there a trick?
